Founded in 1971, meeting monthly and still going strong, the B.S.F.G. is a non-profit-making organisation that provides an informal atmosphere in which SF fans can meet one another and professionals in the field. This year's Novacon Guest of Honour. First Published by "Weird Tales", Winner of a World Fantasy Award, writes SF influenced by Dickens and Thomas Hardy and born in Solihull.
  

PLACE: Briar Rose Hotel, Bennetts Hill, Birmingham City Centre

TIME: Doors open at 7.30 pm for an 8pm start. The hotel is licensed.

ADMISSION: £3 members - £4 non-members

Eric Brown

An Ex-League football player who has written plays for children. He's written more than a couple of dozen novels in the last 20 years. His stories have won polls and a BSFA award. He rarely gives talks like this - this could be the first time - so this could be one to remember.
